How to Pambazo

Hello everybody!!! Today I want to share with you guys a little bit of my culture with some amazing Mexican food.  Now this is traditional Mexican food not something very common to see on the States but it is so good! My mouth is watering just looking at the pictures...lol  It is called a Pambazo they date back to the colonial times, when the Spanish invaded Mexico.  This pambazo is the "traditional" Mexico City style.  Different regions have made changes and adapted the recipe to its location. So here is a quick break down of how it is made and the changes you can do for a vegetarian style pambazo.  (Yes I am a tree huger. lol) STEP 1: Make the SALSA.  It is red guajillo pepper that is cooked on a pan with NO oil or water. Ones it gets toasted, you add a little bit of water and steam it. You then add the peppers and liquid to a blender.  You then add a tomato...  Add garlic...  Add a little bit of salt and maybe some more...

Yoga after a stroke

Life puts all of us through so many challenges you sometimes sit and wonder how are you still here.  How did you find the courage and strength to push through it all.  Or at least I seem to be thinking about it a lot lately.  But then I also think of all the things I have accomplished and how much of a bad ass I have become from it all.  My most resent struggle was the mini stroke I had in April 27th.  It has been something that happened suddenly and has taken a long time to recover from.  Three months later I still cannot get back to the person I was before the stroke. Before the stroke I used to do yoga almost every day for about an hour.  I loved it so much! It took me a while to find a love for yoga but ones I found that love I never let it go.  After the stroke my mobility seemed to be slow.  It was hard to walk, to go up the stairs or even raise my hands above my shoulders.  For the first month I needed help with basic things ...

Do you have what you want in life?

Sometimes some of us have more than a  million things going on at a time.  That you do not stop and take some time to enjoy what you have.  You have life, a purpose, family, friends, maybe a pet?  You have an emotional attachment to something or someone other than you.  But do you actually value and cherish them? When  things are going good in life we don't think of how lucky or blessed we are.  We seem to put the good in the back of our heads and not appreciate it.  Because we believe that we deserve the best and the best should get better with time (just like wine. lol)  But it doesn't always get better, or you may not have the time for it to get better.  We don't think of what we have most of the time until we lose it. We don't think of how mush some one meant to us until they pass away.  Or how much you really liked something until it breaks.  Even though they were there every day before, they were not part of your c...

MTHFR Mutation and me!

MTHFR is a DNA mutation that is not commonly checked on a regular check up or regular blood work.  But thankfully this year (2018) thanks to my new and wonderful Neurologist she suggested I saw a Hematologist.  He ran 18 tubes of blood and multiple test I had never had done before.  There I was told it seemed like I had a mutation on MTHFR.  But requested for all the lab work to be done again to make sure it was correct and come back in a month.  The labs take about 3 weeks to be processed.  At at that point I found some relief but also fear.  I had no idea what I was dealing with I got a packed of information with the title:   Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase catalyzes Mutation. The title it self freaked me out!!  But I did as much research as I could in that month.  It seems as if this condition was just discovered in 2006. So there is no cure for it, not a lot of information either but the Doctors are just treating the symptom...

You are POWERFUL!

I hope you all have a wonderful start of the week.  I wanted to let you all feel some positive energy in this beautiful day.  Remember that you are what you think and what you believe!  So think it, believe it and become it! I really hope you all have a wonderful start of the week!

Today's Shenanigans

I will try to share a positive quote everyday, but I am not going to promise I will.  I do it on my instagram and facebook: MontseHarashima.  This was todays quote, which helped me start posting on the blog.  I had been thinking of posting on the blog for a while now, but  I was actually scared.  I had done it before and I was actually pretty good at it.  But for some reason doing it now seemed scary.  I was scared of failure and what would people say of me doing it again.  What if it did not work..? But then  I really thought about it.  What am I going to lose if I don't make it.  NOTHING! Because I won't, I started thinking of how great this is going to go and how my work will pay off.  Positive thinking, will attract positive outcomes.  I want to share this positively with you guys, and spread with others.

Thursday Transformation

Thursday I will try to dedicate it to my fashion post.  As a mom I have struggled with my fashion senses.  Before my kids I had an awesome fashion knowledge.  I used to be in the fashion/ modeling world (which I miss so much!!!.) At some point of my life I used to get paid to dress people and give fashion advice.  If you see me now with my kids and I told you that you would be like, "yeah right..?lol."  But we all change after having kids, some of us change more than the others.  For the ones like me, that lost completely themselves and are trying to find themselves again after having kids.  I hope this helps.  For the ones that did not struggle, let me congratulate you and say HELP US!!!!!!!! lol Please, give us some pointers on what to do. Nice and kindly give some advice,  And for the ones that are okay with leggings and t-shirts for the rest of your life.  We love your confidence and there is nothing wrong with that.  You go gir...
