I have AS

Hi you guys! I know it has been awhile since I wrote, but it has been hard to write for me.  One I am not sure what to share there is a lot I want to share but not sure how or where to start.  Second I am actually having issues with my hands.  Yes my hands, my DNA mutations is acting up again you can say and it is really messing with my skeletal system.  So I was recently diagnosed with  Ankylosing spondylitis or for short AS.  The definition you will find online:    is an inflammatory disease that, over time, can cause some of the vertebrae in your spine to fuse. Not a big deal...(sarcasm there.)  So I am losing mobility in my body.  I decided to share the news with the world last week, but for the people that have been paying attention (just kidding) the people close to me it is not news.  I have been known to using wheelchairs and canes when needed.  It is just getting to a point where they are needed more and more.  Also I did not want to face the fact that, I am going to go thro

11 Day Migraine

Hi Welcome back to my life! I hope you all had a great weekend.  I actually did, it was my son's birthday weekend.  My oldest turned 7.  It was a very nice weekend for the most part.  I can't remember most of it to be quite honest, no I was not drunk or on any un-prescribed drugs.  I have been dealing with a migraine sense August 12th.  I don't think anybody that came over my house noticed much of a difference I was talking and trying my best to act normal.  There were moments I would zone out and had no idea what was going on but for the most part I pushed through.  It started August 12th as we were at the park catching pokemons. lol Yes we play Pokemon Go.  My husband got me hooked on that game.  I started feeling some vertigo and a mild migraine nothing major.  I took my meds and didn't think much of it.  The next day I felt worse. I felt like I couldn't get out of bed.  The light bothered me, the noise I just did not want to get out of bed.  I was nauseous

Pho Feel'n Asian

Pho Feel'n Asian has opened its doors in Gastonia NC.  If you want to try great pho and some authentic Asian cuisine give this local restaurant a try.  The pho had amazing flavor and variety.  My husband had the meat, I tried the tofu.  Ones I started eating it there was no way I could stop, even after I was full.  I also tried their iced coffee and it was one of the best coffee's I have had in the Gastonia area.  On top of their great food, the staff was very friendly and kind.  I went with my three children (7, 6 and 4 year old.)  They were very patient, friendly and helpful with the kids.  They don't have a kids menu but many of the Gastonia restaurants don't seem to have one. Yet it is family friendly and from a price point is also very affordable.  I do recommend it, whether you have tried pho before or not.  Go support a family owned local business and see the community around you grow!

Mexican Veggie Breakfast

Hello! Welcome back to my page.  I am going to share with you guys one of my favorite breakfast.  I am a vegetarian and I also don't eat much bread.  (I know I have a boring life! lol.) But here is something I love to make for breakfast and I feel is not very hard to make either. Step 1: You grease up your pan I use olive oil  Step 2: You chop up your veggies, I am using tomato, onions, and jalapenos. You put them on the pan and cook until soft. (I forgot to take that picture....sorry.)  Step 3:  You add a bit more oil and then put a tortilla just for about 5-8 seconds and then flip for about another 5-8 seconds and remove from the pan.  It should be golden but soft.  Step 4: You place the tortillas on the bottom of the plate I use 3.  You then add your veggies on top of the tortilla.  Step 5: Sunny side up eggs. You make two of them bad boys and place it on top of the veggies when you are done.  I like to add a few slices of avocado to my plate.  You c

Makeup Monday

Hi everybody I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I know I got to spend some amazing time with my family.  So here we are on a beautiful and wonderful Monday where I will be showing a makeup look.  As a mom we sometimes don't take care of our selves and just do the minimum.  It is important that we take care of our selves and try to at least one day out of the week focus on us.  It does not have to be make up.  But it can be something that we love to do. For me it is make up, I have always had a passion for it and sharing it.  It brings me joy and helps me feel better about myself.  Being a mom is exhausting, we care so much about our kids, husbands and the people around us.  We are always there for them.  But how much are we there for us? How much do we really care for us?  We need to be first to be able to give the better version of us. So give your self a few minutes a week to enjoy yourself. You deserve it!

How to Pambazo

Hello everybody!!! Today I want to share with you guys a little bit of my culture with some amazing Mexican food.  Now this is traditional Mexican food not something very common to see on the States but it is so good! My mouth is watering just looking at the pictures...lol  It is called a Pambazo they date back to the colonial times, when the Spanish invaded Mexico.  This pambazo is the "traditional" Mexico City style.  Different regions have made changes and adapted the recipe to its location. So here is a quick break down of how it is made and the changes you can do for a vegetarian style pambazo.  (Yes I am a tree huger. lol) STEP 1: Make the SALSA.  It is red guajillo pepper that is cooked on a pan with NO oil or water. Ones it gets toasted, you add a little bit of water and steam it. You then add the peppers and liquid to a blender.  You then add a tomato...  Add garlic...  Add a little bit of salt and maybe some more water if you feel it needs it and

Yoga after a stroke

Life puts all of us through so many challenges you sometimes sit and wonder how are you still here.  How did you find the courage and strength to push through it all.  Or at least I seem to be thinking about it a lot lately.  But then I also think of all the things I have accomplished and how much of a bad ass I have become from it all.  My most resent struggle was the mini stroke I had in April 27th.  It has been something that happened suddenly and has taken a long time to recover from.  Three months later I still cannot get back to the person I was before the stroke. Before the stroke I used to do yoga almost every day for about an hour.  I loved it so much! It took me a while to find a love for yoga but ones I found that love I never let it go.  After the stroke my mobility seemed to be slow.  It was hard to walk, to go up the stairs or even raise my hands above my shoulders.  For the first month I needed help with basic things like, driving, showering, cooking, cleaning, taki
